SEO & AI search

Being visible on Google is no longer enough. We work on your site for search engines and for the answers AI gives, using the same levers.

A growing share of searches no longer ends in a click: the answer is shown straight away, lifted from a site the reader will never visit. That site may as well be yours.

Local search first

For a business in this valley, most of the useful traffic comes down to a handful of very concrete queries — a trade, a village. That is worked on across three fronts: the pages of the site, the Google Business Profile listing, and the consistency between the two. A name, an address and a phone number that differ from one place to another are enough to muddy the signal.

It is also what makes covering an area page by page worthwhile, provided it is done honestly — see the areas we cover.

GEO: being cited, not just ranked

ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews do not rank links: they cite answers. GEO — Generative Engine Optimization is the work of making your pages quotable by them. A page only gets picked up if it answers a precise question, briefly, and without needing the rest of the site to be understood. That is a way of writing, not a technical setting.

  • Self-contained answers. One question, one complete answer in a few lines. It is the format assistants reach for most readily.
  • Long snippets allowed. A misconfigured tag can forbid Google from showing more than a few words of your page. That is decisive here, and it is exactly the kind of detail nobody checks.
  • Content that is genuinely visible. Anything hidden behind a script is neither indexed nor cited.

Structured data

This is the information your site hands to search engines in a form they understand without interpretation: what you do, your address, your opening hours, your services, your frequently asked questions. Set out properly, they put your listing, your reviews or your answers directly into the results.

One rule cannot be worked around: nothing may be declared that is not visible on the page. Markup that promises what the visitor cannot find is a penalty waiting to happen, not a shortcut.

Performance

Speed is not one criterion among many: it is the one that conditions all the others, because a visitor who has left has read nothing. Image weight, third-party resources, fonts, scripts — this site calls no external server at all, and that is what lets it appear instantly. We apply the same method to yours.

SEO from 190

What it costs

The price depends on the state of the site, the number of pages to rework and how contested the target queries are. This rate is for a site we did not build: on ours, search visibility is already included. We send you a full, itemised pre-project quote so that what it will cost you is clear before anything starts.

Frequently asked

Is GEO really different from SEO?
The two are worked on together but they do not aim at the same thing. SEO tries to move a page up a list of links; GEO tries to get your answer quoted by an assistant — ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews. What changes is this: an answer that gets quoted has to be short, factual and understandable outside its context. A page that needs the rest of the site to make sense will not be picked up.
How long before I see results?
Allow three to six months for local search, longer on contested queries. The technical fixes — speed, structure, structured data — take effect within a few weeks; content and reputation take longer. Any agency promising you the top spot in a month is selling something other than search visibility.
Do I need a monthly subscription to rank well?
No. Most of search visibility is decided when the site is built: page structure, speed, content, structured data. That is included in our sites and is not billed as an extra. Ongoing support only makes sense if you publish regularly — and in that case it is decided afterwards, not at signing.
